Consultation
for Interfaith Education
Committed to the advancement of
the field of interfaith
education, the TOU pioneered a
collaborative initiative, the
Consultation for Interfaith
Education (CIE) in 2002. As a
consortium of religious,
interfaith, and educational
organizations, CIE facilitates
network building among
interfaith educators and
provides a forum for
collaboration on methodological
and curricular issues. CIE
organizes consultations and
symposia to navigate the complex
landscape of interfaith
education, identifying both its
problematic and promising
features with the goal of
reaching new horizons in
practical problem solving and
peacebuilding through education.
The CIE website,
www.globalinterfaithed.org
serves as a clearinghouse of
interfaith educational
resources. It also offers
information on past
consultations including New York
2003, Barcelona 2004, and New
York 2005 "Responsibility of
Religons for the UN Millennium
Development Goals." |
